Jemstep Announces Completion of SOC 2 Type II Audit
Independent Audit Assesses Controls of Jemstep Advisor Pro Platform
Atlanta, GA May 17, 2019 – Jemstep, a leading digital advice solutions provider, announced today that it has completed a System and Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type II audit for its platform, Jemstep Advisor Pro. Jemstep Advisor Pro is a configurable, white-label digital advice platform for banks, credit unions, broker dealers, insurance companies, and RIAs. Conducted by Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC), a multinational professional services firm, the report provides a review of Jemstep’s security and availability controls. This achieved attestation assures financial institutions implementing Jemstep Advisor Pro that it applies appropriate safeguards and procedures on the security and availability of clients’ data.
“At Jemstep, we are committed to investing in the reliability and security of the digital advice services we provide to our clients,” said President and CEO Simon Roy. “Maintaining customer data is of paramount importance to us and the successful completion of a SOC 2 Type II audit is an affirmation of our commitment to meeting the needs of our enterprise customers.”
Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), SOC 2 is a widely recognized and trusted industry standard that provides service organizations independent validation about the design, implementation and operative effectiveness of controls. The Type II process requires at least a six-month audit period that assures policies and controls are designed appropriately and operating effectively. The completion of this engagement illustrates Jemstep’s ongoing commitment to create and maintain a secure operating environment for its client’s confidential data.
